After finishing secondary school, I left Apulia to move to Ferrara and enrol in the Faculty of Economics of Public Administrations and International Institutions. I graduated with a dissertation in Business Strategy.

I was hired by Deloitte & Touche, a multinational auditing and corporate consulting firm. After two years of dealing with ledgers, invoices and consolidated financial statements, I set aside my jacket and tie to return to what I have since discovered to be my true passion: journalism and writing.

My first experiences were at the Milano Finanza newspaper and then – following a first master’s degree in Publishing and Communication – at the Rome-based publishing house nottetempo.

A second two-year master’s degree at the “Ilaria Alpi” School of Journalism in Bologna enabled me to become a professional journalist in 2012.

After a stint at the Bologna editorial office of Corriere della Sera, a subsequent internship at Condé Nast Traveller introduced me to a world that was previously unknown to me: travel journalism.

This was the beginning of a journey that allowed me, over the course of ten years, to visit more than 50 countries around the world, including Alaska, Costa Rica, California, Hawaii and China, as well as the Arctic Circle and the whole of Europe.

I currently publish my articles in Vanity Fair, GQ, AD, Forbes, Robb Report and Dove. I also run a travel blog on Ilfattoquotidiano.it.

Since 2015 I have been a member of GIST, the Italian Tourism Press Group.
